Industrial cassava starch processing machine making plant

Cassava starch is produced from fresh cassava roots by wet-milling method. The whole cassava starch processing machine is comprised of six major sections: washing & cleaning equipment, cutting and crushing equipment, separating equipment, concentrating and refining equipment, dehydrating equipment and drying equipment.

1. Cleaning and washing machine: The purpose of cleaning and washing is to wash raw cassava roots thorough multiple stage cleaning and washing process so as to fully wash the dirt, soil, sand and other skin sediment. Thus it can improve the purity of the raw material, and facilitate the next process in cassava starch production line. And the widely used cassava starch processing machine for this section is dry sieve and paddle washing machine. The main features of these machine are low water and power consumption, large capacity and easy handling.

2. Grinding machine: The cassava root need to be grinded into slurry in order to release its starch from cell wall. Rasper is the cassava starch processing machine used for this purpose. The grinding rate determines the extraction rate of cassava, therefore it is important to choose a high efficient grinding machine for cassava starch processing plant. 3. Screening machine: To separate and purify starch by screening in cassava starch processing plant. At present, centrifuge sieve is mainly used cassava starch processing machine to remove fine slag. It is required  that, through screening and washing of the original pulp, the starch content of cassava residue is less than 35%, the free starch content is less than 5%, and the content of fiber impurities in the pulp is lower than 0.05%.

4.Concentrating and refining machine: After separating, the starch slurry still need to be concentrated and refined. In cassava starch manufacturing process, the mainly used cassava starch processing machine is hydrocyclone station. The main function of hydrocyclone is to remove the fine fiber, protein and cell sap out of starch slurry to make the final starch meet the standard.

5. Dewatering machine: The dewatering process is maily for reducing water content of cassava milk so that it can meet the drying standard. The cassava starch processing machine used for starch dewatering is peeler centrifuge. This is required that the water content of cassava starch is about 38%-40%.

6. Drying machine: The starch is sent to flash dryer with screw conveyor for drying steps. Negative pressure method is adopted by this cassava starch processing machine, thus ensuring the quality and moisture uniformity of starch.  The required moisture content after drying is about 14%.

7. Sifting and packing machine: In order to make sure the uniformity of starch granule, starch need to enter the vibration sieve for sifting after air cooling. The sifted starch by cassava starch processing machine is then packed by semi-automatic packing machine and weighted for storage.  It is required to keep the warehouse ventilated and take fire precautions.
