Here are the detail steps of cassava starch processing plant
1. Cassava transportion and weighting section
Cassava roots have 24-48 hours shelf-life after harvest, so the roots have to be processed within 2 to 3 days from harvest. Therefore the newly harvested cassava should be transpoprted into factory for processing as soon as possible in cassava starch processing plant. Then the cassava is weighted and prepares for extraction of starch from cassava.

2. Cassava cleaning section
The dry sieve is the firstly used cassava starch processing machine in cassava starch processing plant. It meanly remove the dirt, stand, small stones, weeds and other impurities on the surface of the cassava.

3. Cassava washing section
This process is mainly for thoroughly washing the attached soil, sand, dirt and other impurities of cassava store the cleaned cassavaes in the cassava temporary storage hopper. In cassava starch processing plant, the washing water can be sent from the circulation pump to the flow tank as the flushing water for recycling.

4. Cassava crushing section
This is the most important step in cassava starch processing plant. The rasper is used to crush the cassava into slurry so as to release the free starch in the cassava cell. The extraction rate of starch is determined by this cassava starch making machine. DOING rasper is an advanced crushing machine which fully absorbs technology from home and abroad, and the breakage rate can reach at around 95%.

5. Starch slurry separating section
In this process of cassava starch processing plant, the mainly used cassava starch processing machinery includes centrifuge sieve and fine fiber sieve. Centrifuge sieve is a machine which take use of high speed centrifugal force to separate the fiber from starch. And the fine fiber sieve is used maily for removing the fine fiber from starch to further improve the quality of the final products.

6. Starch milk concentration and refining section
The hydrocyclone station will then be used in cassava starch processing plant. The main purpose of this machine for how is tapioca made from cassava is to remove the fiber, protein and cell sap. The full hydrocyclone technology includes the concentration, refining and recycling of cassava starch.

7. Starch milk dewatering section
The moisture content of the starch milk coming out from the cyclone station is too large to be directly dried in cassava starch processing plant. Therefore, the starch milk should be dehydrated first, so that the moisture content of the starch is about 40%.

8. Starch drying section
Then it is the final step for cassava starch processing plant. The equipped machines are vacuum filter and flash dryer. The vacuum filter mainly for dehydrating water to reduce water content in starch milk. And the drying process is carried out by the principle of negative pressure. The wet starch is mixed with hot air into the air duct, and after entering the drying requirement, it enters the cyclone separator and is then packaged into the storage.
