1. Cassava de-stone and washing stage
The de-stone process mainly removes impurities such as small stones, gravel, cassava leaves and other debris. The pretreatment of cassava facilitate the washing stage and reduce the load of washing machine. The washing is mainly used to wash away the sediment, soil and the like attached to the casaava skin. It is required to wash the surface without clay for subsequent processing steps in cassava starch production line.
There is no special requirement for washing water, but from the crushing operation, all processing water should be soft water.

2: Cassava grating: In cassava starch production line, this step determines the starch yield. Grating serves to breaking the structure of cassava to achieve the purpose of releasing free starch. 3:  Starch and residue separation:

4. Desanding: The specific gravity of mud and sand is greater than that of water, and is also larger than that of starch granules. 5. Hycrocyclone refining: Hycrocyclone station is used for concentration, refining and washing the starch slurry so as to achieve the purpose of removing the protein, cell sap and other impurities in cassava starch production line. The extraction is a counter current process. With hydrocyclone station it is possible to reduce protein and cell sap to low levels with a minimum of fresh water. The color or whiteness can be ensured by this process.

6. Dehydrating: After the refining process in cassava starch production line, the starch slurry still contains a lot of water, so it need to be dehydrated before drying. Peeler centrifuge is often used for dewatering. The moisture content of wet starch after dehydration is required to be lower than 38%.

7: Drying and packing: The drying step follows dehydrating to dry starch to the desired quality. By adopting negative pressure drying, the whole process is completed in seconds in cassava starch production line.
